HO1ON a film by Luca Canale B.
Loosely inspired by Arthur Koestler’s philosophical essay Janus: A Summing Up, the film follows a dystopian descent into a highly technologized society where social control and systemic surveillance blur reality, forcing a confrontation with the erosion of personal identity and the fragility of individual rights. After waking up in a sealed room with no memory, a woman is certain only of two things: that she chose to be there, and that she is a citizen of the Sino-British Kingdom. In a rigid, dystopian society governed by surveillance and discipline, she begins to uncover cracks in the reality she has always accepted. As her memories destabilize and her sense of identity fractures, she is drawn into a descent where control, truth, and perception collapse, leading her into a brutal world of blood and death, where nothing is what it seems and escape may not be possible.
