THE TERRACE a film by Ettore Scola
The film centers around a terrace in Rome where a group of people meet; some are friends, some acquaintences, some have just met: the only common bond is their intellectuality and middle-class condition: they all meet on a terrace during the hot Roman summer. During one of these evening encounters we look in on them: there is Enrico a film scriptwriter with a moral crisis, there is Amedeo a cinema producer, a self-made man, Luigi, an intellectual editor and journalist; Sergio a TV executive; Galeazzo just back from Venezuela; Bruno a TV ad producer; Mario a communist party deputy. We will get an intimate and pityless view of the private life of each one of theme.
