In order to succeed in the high finance business, one has to be intelligent, needs to have the right connections and a peculiar temper: all these attributes correspond to Brenda Baxter. Moreover, being a not too queasy person, she accepts sometimes to meet her colleagues "after working time" especially if they can give her some useful information about the stock exchange market. One of her best resources is her lover, a rich and old industrial man, named Albert Corey. Brenda accepts to be interviewed by a young handsome journalist who ends up to seduce her. They are physically attracted one to the other, until the day that she will find out that the young journalist is her lover's son.
